Summer and Fall Events

As you know, the Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament is one of the largest tournaments in the Midwest area. This is our 8th year, last year we had 244 teams attend. The growth has been exciting, and in response we are adding the following events:

1. A skills clinic will be conducted by The Ohio State University baseball program, including their coaching staff along with several players. They will instruct and teach your son about the aspect’s of the game where he may need to improve to play at the next level. The event will consist of a skills-specific instruction including hitting, base running, pitching, fielding and bunting. This will be followed by position specific training. This will be a great opportunity to get coaching and exposure, from one of the top baseball programs in the Midwest. Your son will get first hand experience on what it takes to compete and play at a Division 1 program

The event will be conducted in a fun and instructive atmosphere. During the session we will provide grilled food and drinks to participants and their families from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 pm.

This event will be held on July 6th, 2011. Registration will start at 11:00 a.m. The clinic will run from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The cost of this event is $75.00 per player.

2. We are hosting a recruiting seminar Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Worthington Kilbourne High School. This event will help answer questions, parents and players have about what it takes to play at the next level. We have several college coaches, that will provide valuable insight from their years of coaching experience. Attendances will include:

Clark Kellogg-Keynote Speaker

Other speakers include:
Mike Stafford – Ohio State University Pitching Coach
Dan Simons – Miami University (Oxford) Head Coach
Tim Pettorini – College of Wooster Head Coach
Mike Florak – Former Youngstown State University Head Coach
Matt Palm – Heidelberg College Head Coach

The cost of the seminar is $35.00 per player, parents may attend at no additional charge. Players participating in the skills competition get a reduced rate of $20.00 for this event.

3. Our Summer Showcase is already full, as testimony to the high quality of our professional evaluation team of college coaches, professional scouts, etc. In response to this demand, we are scheduling a “Fall Showcase” on October 8th and 9th, 2011. In order to facilitate those driving in on Saturday morning, evaluations and video graphing will not begin until 12:00 p.m. Remember, the Fall Showcase is designed for the player who desires to display their full skill set to college coaches and professional evaluators in a controlled and high energy atmosphere. On Sunday we will establish teams and conduct live games. This will provide further opportunity for evaluation.

Details: Two day showcase with competitive games on the second day. The showcase is for ages 16, 17 and 18.

Cost is $239.00 per player.
We have developed some special “income producing opportunities” for your organizations. You need only to help us identify candidates for these events, and your group will be rewarded accordingly.
