Welcome to the 6th Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament. This year's event will be
held in Columbus Ohio, the dates are July 9 - 12, 2009. This
year's field will be limited to the first (64) - U18 teams, (48) - U16 teams,
(48) - U15 teams, (32) - U-14 teams. This tournament has sold out early
every year. The tournament field will be one of the most competitive fields in
the Midwest. We have teams attend from 15 different states, including several
from Canada. This has become one of the prestige events in the Midwest.
The games will be held on several of central Ohio’s premier high school and
college fields. We have worked closely for the past 4 years with
college coaches and pro scouts to make this a top collegiate exposure event. This
event will average over 50 college coaches and pro scouts.
* Event Format: This year’s tournament
will be 4 team pool play. The top team will advance to Championship play, with
the other teams playing a consolation game on Saturday. The Championship games
will be played at Bill Davis Stadium, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
*Event Awards: The Champions and
runner-ups in each age group will receive a team trophy and individual awards
.They also will have their picture taken and put on the tournament
website.
Big League Baseball School will be conducting an “Invitation Only”
showcase prior to the Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament on Wednesday
July 8 at 2:00 at Dublin Coffman High School. Directors for this event
will be former Major League players Dan Briggs and John Pacella. They
have designed this event as an “Invitation Only", limiting participants to
those who have the ability and academic requirements to play at the next level. This
Pro-Style skills combine has attracted over 50 college coaches and pro scout’s
thru-out the Midwest. Big League will personally contact over 200
schools to attend this event. This is a premier Showcase and Tournament you
don’t want to miss.
