Welcome to the Buckeye Elite Tournament

July 12th - 15th, 2012 : COLUMBUS, OHIO

Tournament Entry Fee's:
U14 - $675.00
U 15, 16, 18 - $775.00

Welcome to the 9th Annual Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament.

The 2012 event will be held though out Central Ohio starting July 12th to the 15th. The tournament will be limited to the first (96) - U18 teams, (64) - U16 teams, (56) - U15 teams and (32) - U14 teams. We’ve sold out early every year, so it’s best to apply as soon as possible. The tournament’s field will be one of the most competitive in the Midwest. In attendance will be teams from 15 states, as well as Canada. In addition to the highly competitive play, games will be held on 47 of central Ohio’s premier high school and college fields, making it one of the most prestigious baseball events in the Midwest.

*Event Format*

This year’s tournament will be a 4 team pool play. Each team will play all teams in their pool. The top 2 teams will advance to Championship play, with the other teams, playing 1 consolation game. The Gold U-18 and U-16 Championship games will be played at Huntington Park, home of the AAA Cleveland Indians. The Gold U-15 and U-14 Championship games will be played at Bill Davis stadium, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes

*Event Awards*

The Gold Champions and runner-ups in each age group will receive a team trophy and individual awards. The Silver Champions and runner-ups will receive team trophies. Gold Champions and Runner-ups will have their picture placed on the tournament website with past Champions. All other teams not making to the championship rounds will play a consolation game on Saturday.

We have added five events this year in addition to the highly scouted Player Showcase!

1st Event / Silver Division Championship

We have instituted a Silver divisional championship. The top team from a 4 team pool will advance to the gold championship round in each age group. The 2nd place team in each pool will advance to the Silver Championship round. The Silver Championship games will be played at Otterbein College. The Championship rounds will be a single elimination event.

2nd Event / Ohio State Buckeyes Skills Camp

The Ohio State Buckeyes baseball coaching staff and its players will be providing a player Skills Clinic. The Skills Clinic will be specifically for players unable to participate in the showcase because of age or high school grade levels. The date of this event is July 11th at 12:00 location: Dublin Jerome High School.

3rd Event / Free Player Recruiting Seminar

A Free recruiting seminar will be held on July 11th at Worthington Kilbourne High School at 7:00 p.m. Several college coaches will speak about various aspects of what it takes to play at the next level. We also will have a question and answer session after the coaches have spoken. We feel that this will be very helpful to all players and parents involved with the upcoming challenges of selecting the right college for the players. This event will fill up very quickly, so please register early, to insure your attendance. Three attendees only, per family.

4th Event / Pitcher and Catcher Clinics

Pitchers and Catcher instruction clinics will be held on Wednesday, July 11th 2012, for all ages by former Cleveland Indian’s player and trainers from Aspirins Athlete’s. This event will be held at Big Walnut High School starting at 12:00 PM.

5th Event / Fall Player Showcase

This showcase will be held on October 13th 2012 at Big Walnut High School, and ran bye Aspiring Athletes. The event formats will be a pro style showcase with a game. We will also be videotaping all participants this video will be distributed to each player. You can us this video for recruiting purposes.

We have worked closely for the past 9 years with college coaches and professional scouts to insure this will be a highly attended event!
