Rain Policy for the Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament

The Buckeye Elite tournament directors will make every possible effort to have all schedule games played during the tournament. Due to inclement weather, we reserve the right to change the format of the tournament. We feel that in the best interest of all the teams and the Buckeye Elite Showcase Tournament, the format will be pre-determined. This way there will be no confusion by either party of the expectations due to inclement weather.

1. Due to inclement weather, causing us to lose more than 1/2 the games on either the 1st or 2nd day of the tournament, we will use the third day to complete pool play.
2. The fourth day of the tournament will then become Championship play, if any days are loss thru the course of the tournament. All consolation games will be canceled.
3. Due to inclement weather and the loss of play on either the 1st, 2nd, 3rd day of play, the following format will be used.
4. In age groups with 33 teams or more, the top 8 teams will advance to Championship play. Age groups with 32 and under, the top 4 teams will advance to Championship play. Based on overall record, Runs allowed, Run Differential, and last flip of a coin.
